This security message informs you where the computer is located.
Also it contains volume serial number and all available information
about the current user of computer(address, city, state, country, company,
phones, e-mail address).
In each of these messages you will find instructions on how to recover
missing computer. You can also specify how often these
messages are sent (recommended daily).
In short these messages keep track of where your computer was located
and when it was turned on.
This process does not interfere with any PC work and can't be detected
by the computer user.
You can access your EMail from any computer and determine the location
from where the security message was sent.

In addition, you can make your lost computer send you any file of your
choice. For this option an FTP account required (most Internet Service
Providers will assign you an FTP account automatically when you subscribe.
To make sure, call your Internet provider).
To use Absolute Protect without this option, an FTP account is not required.
AbsoluteProtect has been tested against all known computer viruses.
When installed, this program cannot be deleted in regular way.
Special procedure must be used to delete the program.
Moreover, AbsoluteProtect can even survive hard disk formatting.
This security feature ensures that, computer can
be recovered even after disk formatting.
INSTALLATION
To install Absolute Protect run file Setup_an.exe.
HOW TO UNINSTALL THE PROGRAM.
AbsoluteProtect cannot be deleted in regular way.
To uninstall the program, go to "Start" and run the command line you
specified during installation. That command line is included in each
of the security messages to help you remember and to inform you if the
command line has been changed by formatting.

HOW TO FORMAT A HARD DISK OR CHANGE PARTITION
Sometimes you will be unable to format a hard disk and change partition while
running Absolute Protect. This prevents the program from deleting.
To format a hard disk, unload AbsoluteProtect first, then perform
formatting.
To unload the program, go to "Start" and run command line you specified during
installation.
This is a shareware program. It means that you can download it now and
use free during the evaluation. After that, you should either register
it if you found it useful, or delete the program from your computer.

WHAT TO DO IF COMPUTER IS LOST OR STOLEN
First, inform your private security company or the police of
loss or theft. Then check your E-mail and wait for the
security message from the missing computer.
You can use any other computer to recieve your EMail. Forward the
message to your private security company or the police so that they can
obtain a warrant to go in and recover computer. If you have any problem,
Absolute Protect can locate email server which sent message for no extra fee.

HOW TO LOCATE THE COMPUTER (information for security company)
When you present received security message to your private security company or
police, they must be able to collect the street address from which your
computer is sending E-mail to retrieve it as quickly as possible.
Absolute Protect can locate email server which sent message for no extra fee.

You can also obtain that address by yourself. The procedure
is described below:
In received security message you will find:
-digital address of the computer which sent the message. It looks like this: 123.123.12.123;
-time stamp when message was sent;
-all available information about current computer users (name, address,
phones, company).
To locate computer, follow this procedure:
1- look up digital address in recieved message;
2- run the command line you entered during installation
and choose "Resolve dotted address" option;
3- use obtained digital address to get street address and
phone number of the email server;
OR you can use program WhoIs. Simple instruction
on how to use WhoIs can be found at
http://www.arin.net/whois/arinwhois.html or
http://rs.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois.
4- contact the management of the EMail server and provide them
with the time stamp and digital address of computer from which the message
was sent so they will be able to establish the name and
street address of the person using your computer.
FIND OUT IF THERE WAS UNAUTHORIZED USE OF COMPUTER
Every time your computer get connected to Internet,
it sends an EMail with a time stamp so you can detect any
unauthorized use of computer.
It also eliminates internal theft of computers within a company.
INSURANCE IS NOT ENOUGH
